Early Childhood Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Early Childhood Coordinator is a part-time position that primarily works at South Point, 810 Preston Lane, Oswego, IL, with additional work at various Kid’s Connection sites. Responsibilities will be split between office work (~12 hours/week) and on-site work (~12 hours/week). This position supports the overall mission and goals of the Early Childhood Department. This position works daily with the Kid’s Connection & Jr. Kid’s Connection staff providing on-site supervision as well as logistical support in program area planning and implementation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• On-site program supervision


• Ongoing analysis of program demand and operation efficiencies


• Manage kitchen at South Point, including menu planning, grocery ordering, cleaning schedule, & Health Department compliance


• Assist in creation of site activities (like Monthly Challenges) and distribute supplies


• Track Food Handler certificates, assist with DCFS file maintenance, and assist with monitoring & managing ePact


• Researching, planning, coordinating, implementing, supervising and evaluating early childhood and youth varied interest programs and contractual services


• Work closely with the Early Childhood Supervisors, Park District Staff, and contracted services


• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, & Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Education, Recreation or related field


• Director qualified through DCFS preferred


• Must be at least 21 years of age

Hours:

20-24 hours per week, varies, some weekends and evenings required

Rate:

$20-$22/hour
