E-Commerce Inventory Specialist

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana is looking for an Inventory Specialist for our E-Commerce department!

Goodwill’s mission is to Empower and prepare people for independence through training, personal growth and work. Goodwill's E-Commerce Department supports this mission by collecting donated goods from the community and selling those items online. Revenue from these sales help pay for job training and placement services throughout northeast Indiana!    

As items are posted online for sale, we have to store them until it's time to ship to the customer. This is where you come in as the E-Commerce Inventory Specialist. Your primary job is to organize and shelve the items in the designated areas. You also will learn to photograph and post items for sale online. This position is perfect for someone who is detail oriented and can work quickly.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Using CashMonkey, scan all listed items and shelve accordingly.
2. Ensure that listed items are safely and securely placed on shelves or on the floor in the designated area.
3. Purge unsold items and ensures that all items on shelves are listed and active.
4. Assist with in-store pickups 
5. Photograph items ensuring they are clear and of sufficient nature to show various angles and markings. 
6. Post the required number of items to CashMonkey website daily and proofread them for clarity, grammar, spelling and photo quality. 
7. Assure items are listed with the correct weight, including the shipping package. 
8. Supports and executes all Goodwill policies and procedures.
9. Follows all safety rules and practices.
10.  Performs all other duties as may be assigned by the E-Commerce Manager in the process of carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries.
11. In order to promote customer and donor satisfaction it is mandatory for employees who come in contact with the public to maintain a positive work outlook and to project a pleasant, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, donors, co-workers, and clients.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Keep area clean by unloading incoming carts and disposing of trash. 
2. Attend monthly department meetings. 

ATTENDANCE

Goodwill, your co-workers, and our customers depend on you to be at work as scheduled.  

An assigned rotation allows you to plan around your work schedule.

JOB PERFORMANCE

Reviewed upon initial hire at 30, 60 and 90 days, and annually thereafter by the E-Commerce Specialist.

EDUCATION

Computer proficiency.

EXPERIENCE

Previous computer usage required.

Physical Activities:

1.   Substantial: vision, grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, and walking.

5.   Nominal: crawling, kneeling and climbing. Repetitive motions.

Other Activities:

Time spent traveling on agency business is nominal.

Physical Requirements:

Heavy work: Pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently to move objects.  

The ability to fully perform lifting and moving duties is mandatory.

Environmental Conditions:

The worker is subject to indoor environmental conditions.
