The Education Programs Associate works closely with the Education Program Director and the entire Education Department to
establish and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and community education partners. They design and implement exhibition-related educational experiences for all ages, plan summer educational programming, and support education team events and develop tools needed to spark interest, arouse curiosity, and engage others in learning about and through art.
Reports to: Education Program Director, and is part of the Education Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, Develop and Teach Visual Contemporary Arts Curriculum
- Plan and teach curriculum for K-12 students, including travel across rural geography
- Connect/develop relationships with teachers across the western slope
- Develop themes and curriculum for Family Workshops, and Drop-In Art School
- Assist facilitation of Education Department programming such as Active Art, Dynamic Arts, Illuminating Art, Story Art, School Tours, Summer Workshops, and the Youth Art Expo
Contribute to the Organization and Strength of the Department
- Contribute regularly to departmental meetings
- Reflect on programming and make appropriate adjustments and recommendations
- Embed Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion in professional practice
- Coordinate with the Education Projects Manager for school and community tours and workshops
Daily Administrative Responsibilities
- Order Supplies
- Oversee Workshop Space
- Handle registration and general requests (tours, workshops, info, etc.)

Hours and Work Schedule
This is a part-time position (20-30 hours per week) that generally requires availability Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend, evening, and holiday work. The hourly rate for this role is $30 per hour. The Education Programs Associate would receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty hours in a seven-day work week.
