Job Summary

Seven Sons raises meats & eggs and works with local artisan vendors to provide our customers

with sources of nutrient-dense foods. 

The primary responsibility of the egg processing role is to make sure the eggs are washed properly to the USDA Grade A standards, and to oversee that the eggs are graded to the USDA standards. To also keep pace with supplied efficiency benchmarks for the processing team, & overall processing quality.

Egg Processing shifts are 4 days a week, Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 4:00 PM.

This position reports directly to the Egg Processing Manager.

Measurable Areas of Effectiveness

• Order Accuracy:

  • Delight our customers & wholesale clients by ensuring their orders are Processed & packed properly according to as ordered & with the quality as described by the USDA standards & Seven Sons internal standards. (Measured by order accuracy rate, and customer feedback)
    

• Fulfillment Efficiency:

  • (Measured by time & output benchmarks.)
    

• Job Completion:

  • (Measured by the consistency of order departure times, regardless of weekly order volume influx.)
    

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ability to operate vacuum lifts for packing eggs

• Visually inspecting eggs while packing to ensure Grade A standards.

• Building/breaking boxes, palletizing eggs, inventory knowledge, general maintenance, etc.

• To ensure all orders meet departure deadlines. (Flexibility on Processing team’s start and end times)

Requirements & Skillsets:

• Ability to work in a highly motivated and collaborative team environment.

• Ability to use deductive reasoning.

• Willingness to report to a management.

• Willingness to take responsibility for work performed, oversights, and areas of improvement.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Compensation:

• $18.00 per hour.

• $2,000 annual Seven Sons food credit. ($166.66 per month)

• $50 bonus pay if worked following holidays

  • Christmas Eve / Christmas Day

  • 4th of July

  • Memorial Day

  • Labor Day

$2.00 per hour bonus whenever processing benchmark is achieved. (Administered monthly)

Typical work day is 7 am - 4 PM
