Tutor Doctor provides personalized, one-on-one tutoring to help students build confidence and succeed academically. We match tutors with students based on their needs and learning styles, creating a customized and supportive experience for every family. Tutor Doctor is seeking a patient, engaging K–8 Tutor to work one-on-one with students in the Carlsbad and Oceanside area. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys working with younger students and helping them build strong academic foundations in a supportive environment.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in elementary and middle school math and reading, and certified teachers and/or tutors are highly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

  Provide one-on-one tutoring in math and/or reading and other subjects for K–8 students

  Support foundational skills, homework completion, and study habits

  Adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and pace

  Build confidence and create a positive, encouraging learning environment

  Communicate progress and key updates after each session via session reports
