Job Description - English and Japanese Speaking Caregiver in Monroe Connecticut

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide hourly care to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese, ensuring effective interaction with clients and their families. This role requires a dedicated individual who is adept at providing personal care and assistance to clients, promoting their well-being and independence.




Responsibilities:



  1. Assist clients with activities of daily living as needed



  2. Medication reminder



  3.  Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.



  4. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions and preferences.



  5. Help clients with mobility issues to move safely around their homes or accompany them on walks and outings.



  6.  Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying up living spaces, doing laundry, and assisting with basic household chores.



  7.  Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care outcomes.





Requirements:



  1. Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.



  2. Proficiency in both English and Japanese languages is essential to effectively communicate with clients and their families.



  3.  Demonstrated empathy and compassion towards individuals requiring care.



  4. Ability to adhere to scheduled shifts and reliably perform duties as assigned.



  5. Willingness to adapt to the changing needs and preferences of clients.
