Enhanced Support Partner (Direct Support Professional)

As a Support Partner you will be providing direct support in partnership with people with disabilities, on a one-to-one basis, in their own homes and communities. Services include direct support in the form of community involvement and/or accommodation with all activities of daily living including personal care, communication, transportation and inclusive social and recreational activities.

We are hiring for a part-time position in Aston, PA for the following schedule:

 FRIDAY 6PM - Saturday 7AM (This is an overnight block shift that is a combined rate of $13/hour and $25/hour)

 Saturday 7AM-2PM ($25/hour)

 In this position, you would be supporting an individual who lives in Aston, PA whose interests include: playing piano; humor and telling jokes; watching trains; eating out; video games; superheroes; volunteering at the local library; visiting big cities, museums and using public transportation; and celebrating holidays.

He requires support in the following areas:

• Slow and measured verbal prompting when in the home and community 
• Support with focusing on tasks
• Assistance with medication
• Support with development of independent living skills
• Assistance with light housework and laundry
• Staying connected with family and friends
• Assistance with maintaining routine 
• Assistance with technology

The ideal candidate will be patient with calm demeanor; have a good sense of humor; excellent communication skills; and basic computer skills.

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors: Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work or Gerontology. OR be a Licensed Practical Nurse OR be a CNA OR be NADD certified.
