Enrichment Instructor

PAY RANGE:

$17.00 - $35.50 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position plans and leads martial arts activities – providing a safe and nurturing environment for children of various ages. The enrichment Instructor will work as part of a staff team to support the growth of each child and building a relationship
with each family. Reports directly to the Membership Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:

• Sets up age appropriate physical environment to meet the needs of
  children – modifiable as age groups change
• Plans sports skill stations and daily plans
• Greets children and parents as they arrive
• Interacts with children at all times
• Provides information to parents regarding their child(ren), Y programs and
  resources
• Puts away equipment at the end of last class
• Reports any equipment safety concerns to supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• TB Clearance

Skills & Knowledge:

• Knowledge of preschool, school age, and/or high school
  participants is preferred.
• Knowledge of working with parents/families 

Education & Training:

• Background in sports, coaching, and/or instructing 
• First Aid, CPR, AED certification
• Completion of various YMCA trainings within the allotted time frame after hire
