Position Summary

The Entry Level Orthodontic Assistant provides chairside support to our orthodontist, ensures smooth patient flow, and helps create a positive experience and a clean environment for patients and their families. This entry-level role is ideal for someone newer to the dental field who is eager to grow in a supportive environment with mentorship and hands-on learning.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures (bonding, adjustments, records appointments)
• Take intraoral photos, digital scans, and X-rays (training available)
• Prepare and maintain clean and sterile instruments and operatory spaces 
• Support patient education on oral hygiene and appliance care
• Accurately chart treatment notes and update records
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and adhere to infection control protocols
• Greet and interact with patients in a warm, friendly manner
• Follow California Dental Board regulations and OSHA standards

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Assisting program (Required)
• California X-Ray Certification. (Preferred)
• Current CPR Certification. (Preferred)

Job Type

• Part-Time (2-3 days per week)
• $18 - $24 per hour
• Bonus
