Evening Custodian

Hiring Range = $15.00 - 16.25\hour

Please note this is an evening position, and the the hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 3:30pm - 10:30pm. 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Evening Custodian General Description

This position reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor and requires general custodial duties for our office.

Evening Custodian Essential Duties

1. 
   Complete daily custodial duties. Empty all trash receptacles, stock paper products, clean restroom facilities, vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, window washing, etc. 


2. 
   May assist with lawn care. Mow, remove debris around facility.


3. 
   May assist with snow removal. Shovel sidewalks and remove snow from parking area.


4. 
   May assist with general maintenance, i.e. change light bulbs, ceiling tiles, painting, etc.


5. Attend meetings as required (Joint Staff, Department, etc.).


6.

Evening Custodian Skills Required

1. 
   Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public.


2. 
   Enthusiasm for working as a member of a team in a rapidly changing environment. 
   


3. 
   Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and prioritize workload.
   


4. 
   Effective and efficient time management.


5. 
   Ability to follow written policies and and procedures.


6. 
   Ability to work independently and use good judgement. 

Evening Custodian Education and Experience

1. 
   Valid Kansas Driver’s license;


2. 
   Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted and up to 75 pounds with assistance;


3. 
   General maintenance knowledge;


4. 
   Minimum 6 months professional housekeeping or custodial experience is preferred; 


5. 
   Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient and employee-base.
