As a Special Event Security Officer, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for thousands of fairgoers.

Location: Missouri State Fairgrounds, Sedalia, MO
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift Time: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You'll Do
- Serve as a visible security presence and first line of defense
- Enforce alcohol boundaries and monitor compliance with Iowa liquor laws
- Perform bag checks and wand screening at entry points
- Respond to incidents and assist with medical emergencies
- Manage crowd flow and support evacuations if needed
- Assist guests with lost items or directions
- Communicate with event staff and law enforcement
- Document and report any security or safety issues
What You'll Need
- Must provide valid forms of ID to verify identity and prove eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Must be 18+ years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation to/from Sedalia, MO
- Must have strong communication skills (English required)
- Must have a working smartphone and email access
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in any weather
- Must be willing to undergo a background check (and drug screening if applicable)
$18 - $18 an hour
