Event Server

Description

Sazama’s Fine Catering at Marcus Performing Arts Center is seeking part-time Servers to provide top-notch, friendly service to guests at our events. What’s great about the role? No two days are the same; from the menu, style of service, and occasion. You will have the opportunity to work a variety of events, including corporate gatherings, galas, weddings, outdoor events, and theater productions (which includes Broadway!). 

If you are passionate about providing exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests, we invite you to join our team.  Competitive pay starting at $15 per hour, based on experience with a guarantee to be paid at least 5 hours per shift.   

Requirements

Okay, but what does an Event Server do?

• Set up and break down buffet and services lines, guest tables and chairs, and decor for private event spaces
• Serve food at buffets, carving stations, table-side or as hand-passed plates
• Clear guest plates, glass ware and service items while keeping event spaces tidy
• Follow the event details explained by the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and event leaders
• Adhere to all health and safety standards and company training guidelines
• Work as a team, solve problems and have fun

What else do you need to know?

• Banquet/Catering experience is helpful, but isn't required
• Weekend and evening availability is required as this is an “events-based” position
• We’ll provide shirts, apron, vest and tie – you’ll need black pants and shoes
