We are looking for experienced Animal Care Technicians-Leads who have a heart for animal care AND want a career in the pet care industry. Oversee the care of dogs, cats and other family pets while supervising others that do the same.

Job description:

As an Animal Care Technician, you are responsible for a variety of animal care and animal care related duties. Your duties will vary as you become trained in different departments.
You ensure animals are well cared for, medications are administered, and food is scooped according to customer direction. You also interact with customers to give reports about their pet's stay and address any health or behavior issues while boarding.

Animal Care Technicians MAY include work in the following areas:

• Activities with dogs


• Doggy Day Care


• Lodging Staff


• Bathing (must attend, complete and pass our bather training)


• Customer service (Front desk/reception)
  
  

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position with a Supervisory role at a pet care/boarding facility is REQUIRED 


• Experience administering medications (including pills, IV fluids and shots) to dogs and cats is required
  


• Knowledge of animal first aid


• Degree in an animal related field (i.e.: vet tech, animal science) is highly desirable but not required


• Available varying hours and shifts, weekends and holidays 


• Capable of handling the physical demands of the job (i.e.: on your feet most of the shift, handling all sizes and temperaments of dogs (and cats), lifting, bending, mopping, and cleaning


• A strong desire to build a career in the animal care/boarding industry
