Extended Care Provider

Description

St. Gabriel Catholic School is seeking reliable, caring, and patient child care providers for our preschool and elementary Extended Care Program. Extended Care staff members work as a team; actively supervising children during snack and play time. Applicants must enjoy working with young school age children.

Extended Care is from 3:30pm- 6:00pm on school days. We do have an occasional half day where care is offered noon -6:00pm. We do not offer care on days school is not in session. (Holidays, breaks, snow days)

Responsibilities

• Leads indoor and/or outdoor activities outside school hours for students, maintains discipline, assists in the preparation and serves snacks/refreshments, and provides assistance in the implementation of extended care programming.
• The aide positions require that individuals care for the physical, social, and emotional needs of the young child while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Manage and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building.
• Work under the direction of the Principal.
• Must be physically able to perform the job of a caregiver of young children.
• Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents, and children, while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others.

Requirements

• Prefer experience within a childcare setting, but not required.
