About the Role:
Join BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. as an Extended School Year Speech Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL, where you'll make a meaningful impact on children's communication skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team, enhancing the lives of students during the summer months. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The position runs from June 2 to July 15, 2025, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Services will be provided in a school district located near Olympia Fields, IL.
As part of our supportive and collaborative team, you will provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students with diverse communication needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact during the summer in a welcoming, neurodiversity-affirming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services in a school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student IEPs.
- Stay updated on best practices and current research in speech-language pathology.
- Foster a positive and encouraging environment for students to thrive.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- ISBE PEL
- Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.
