Facilities Assistant

The role of the Goodyear Campus Facilities Assistant is to ensure the church facilities are ready and prepared for ministry use.  Specifically, the Facilities Assistant is responsible for upholding the facilities team's mission to create and maintain a welcoming environment that is professional, safe, and prepared for ministry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean all interior and exterior areas of the church facilities


• Maintain all areas of the church facilities in a working condition


• Prepare room setups for events, meetings, services, and classes


• Equip and encourage the Hospitality and Facilities Volunteer Teams


• Order, stock, and inventory facility supplies


• Assist with facility construction projects as needed


• Assist with tool and equipment inventory and maintenance


• Assemble, move, and disassemble equipment and furniture as needed


• Provide facilities coverage for events, classes, services, and meetings at the church throughout the week


• Establish and maintain a positive, professional relationship with all vendors and contractors employed by the church


• Establish and maintain a positive, professional working relationship between the Facilities Team and church staff; collaborate and work well with others toward common goals

• Experience and/or the ability to develop fluency in any required church management systems or software (BambooHR, Planning Center, etc.)


• Physical requirements include the ability to: lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly, move equipment and supplies, stand for long periods of time, climb ladders and work with heights on a scissor lift or roof when needed, as well as the physical ability to operate power tools (training will be provided)


• Be willing to do whatever it takes, short of sin, to accomplish the mission of Palm Valley Church
