Facilities Maintenance 1st Shift Part-Time

We’re looking for a person to join us part time doing facilities maintenance on 1st shift at thte Burke Headquarters and be part of our great team!

What you’ll do -

• Work independently but often assisting the Maintenance team with projects such as setting up for meetings, or packing items in and out of storage as necessary
• Perform ground care duties including but not limited to tree and shrub pruning, planting, watering, bed-edging, tilling, mulching, removing weeds, lawn mowing, fertilizing, and applying pesticides where necessary.
• Maintain clean and clear lawns, walkways, roadways, and parking lots to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.
• Construct lawn and landscaping projects including soil grading, seeding, sodding and hardscaping
• Install and maintain the health of plants and landscape using a variety of vehicles and equipment.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways. Apply de-icing/anti-icing chemical applications. Respond to the need for snow removal during on-call hours.
• Operate mechanical equipment including but not limited to Forklifts, zero turn mowers, RTVs/small tractors, push mowers, and small engine equipment such as string trimmers, backpack blowers, chainsaws, snow blowers, etc.
• Preform general facility maintenance including but not limited to, assembly, Painting, Wall patching, plumbing and electrical maintenance, Shop organization, Filter exchanges, Facility cleaning, Trash and recycling removal
• Use powered sweeper and or scrubber, sweep and clean shop aisles. Maintain equipment after each use.
• Travel between two Fond Du Lac locations
• All other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications That Move Us!

• Maintenance or related experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Strong work ethic - must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete the task
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to multi-task and execute tasks with a high attention to detail
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
• Use delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
