Facilities Maintenance Technician - First Shift

About the Role

LePar Animal Hospital is excited to introduce a new position on our team! We're looking for a hands-on, dependable, and motivated Facilities & Maintenance Technician to take ownership of keeping our hospital clean and safe.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in their work, and isn’t afraid to speak up when they need tools, time, or support to get the job done right.

What You’ll Do

Housekeeping & Sanitation

• Clean and disinfect floors, treatment areas, restrooms, lobby, staff spaces, and exam rooms


• Manage trash, recycling, and laundry (including linens used during patient care)


• Restock paper goods, hand soaps, and cleaning supplies


• Help maintain a fresh, odor-free environment

Maintenance Tasks

• Handle basic repairs (light bulbs, batteries, minor fixtures)


• Keep an eye out for safety concerns and alert leadership to bigger issues
  


• Track and request supply replenishment

Outdoor & Grounds Care

• Keep walkways, entrances, and dog-walk areas tidy and free of debris


• Take care of weeds, leaf removal, and snowy walkways as needed


• Water plants and clean up after pets in designated outdoor spaces

What We’re Looking For

Because this is a new role, we’re looking for someone who’s ready to make it their own—someone who:

• Is a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative


• Can adapt as the position evolves


• Is comfortable asking questions and communicating with the team
  

Requirements

• Prior experience in custodial work, maintenance, or landscaping preferred


• Comfortable working around animals and cleaning up after them


• Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly, move equipment, and work outdoors in all seasons


• Familiar with safe use of cleaning products and basic tools
