 We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Facilities Associate to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of our store. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, cleaning store areas (inside and outside), and ensuring all equipment and supplies are well-maintained. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in cold environments, and exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning chemicals. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in retail or janitorial work is a plus but not required.

Each visit to a HOP Shop is a chance to fuel up and take a break in a one-of-a-kind environment, where every bathroom break is a mini celebration! 

Requirements

 Responsibilities 

 · Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including cases of milk, soft drinks, beer, etc., at least once per shift.
· Stock shelves, coolers, and displays, ensuring merchandise is pulled forward at all times.
· Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors, dusting shelves, and emptying trash containers.
· Clean and organize the backroom to ensure an efficient workspace.
· Work in a cooler at temperatures of 36°F for up to 30 minutes at a time.
· Clean restrooms and ensure tissue and hand-drying equipment are stocked.
· Clean parking lot and store grounds, including removing trash, pulling weeds, and applying absorbent to oil or gas spills.
· Pressure wash or hose down sidewalks, lots, and pump pads.
· Wipe down gas pumps, including cleaning nozzles with degreaser.
· Check and refill windshield washer fluid and towels at pump stations.
· Empty cigarette ashtrays.
· Bag ice and ensure fountain drink ice bins remain full.
· Clean windows and cooler doors to keep them free of fingerprints and smudges.
· Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products while performing job duties.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by management to ensure smooth store operations. 

Requirements 

 · Must demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols in the workplace.
· A safety-first mindset is required, with the ability to follow safety guidelines and complete safety training as needed.
· Must have a strong work ethic, with reliability in attendance and punctuality.
 · Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Comfortable working in environments exposed to gasoline fumes, cleaning chemicals, and cold temperatures.
· Strong attention to detail in cleaning, stocking, and maintaining store presentation.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
· Willingness to work outdoors for parking lot and pump maintenance.
 · Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and punctuality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Previous experience in retail, convenience store, or janitorial work is a plus but not required.
