Facilities Technician

Current Opening: Part time, Monday - Friday , Part- time (25 hours per week)

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of Granite VNA buildings inside and outside at any of our three locations in Concord, Laconia and Wolfeboro. The primary locations are the Laconia and Wolfeboro office locations.

Essential Functions

• Performs general cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, vacuuming rugs, washing walls and glass, and dusting.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Floor care-performs appropriate floor care per schedule-such as stripping and waxing of floors.
• Services, cleans and supplies restrooms.
• Gathers, empties and removes trash.
• Follows the established cleaning task schedule.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Accurately follows directions and use cleaning products as intended.
• Cleans windows, glass and mirrors.
• Dusts furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
• Winter-keeps sidewalks cleared and salted if needed.
• Performs building inspection for safety or maintenance items.
• Completes minor repairs/maintenance as identified and needed including painting touch ups.
• Receives and performs cleaning and maintenance requests from staff.
• Prepares the building for each season.
• Replaces supplies as needed. May include lawn mowing and outdoor maintenance of property.
• Requisitions supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Demonstrates effective communication with other employees.
• Infection Control-COVID- sanitizes designated areas throughout the day per required frequency which includes wipe down of high touch areas every two hours.
• Keeps any patient information ascertained while cleaning confidential.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work independently.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
2. Previous custodial and light maintenance experience
3. Basic knowledge of repair techniques

Position requires travel between assigned office locations.
