Facility Attendant-Building Setup

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can help create memorable experiences for our community? The Crystal Lake Park District is seeking a responsible and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Facility Attendant – Building Set-Up. This part-time role plays a vital part in supporting events and rentals at key facilities including Grand Oaks, Main Beach, West Beach, Rotary Building, Spoerl Park, Oakwood Lodge, and Woodscreek Park.

Location: Various Park District Facilities
Schedule: Flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and other equipment based on rental needs.


• Ensure all facilities are clean, presentable, and ready for guests.


• Greet and assist renters, ensuring compliance with Park District policies.


• Remain on-site or on-call during events to respond to questions or issues.


• Complete pre- and post-rental checklists accurately.


• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with patrons and staff.

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.


• Availability to work a flexible schedule, primarily evenings and weekends.


• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor.


• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment under pressure.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills.


• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.


• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).

Work Environment:
This role involves both indoor and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions and environments, as well as physical activity including lifting, standing, and walking. Must be comfortable with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and public interactions.
