Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for facility upkeep, maintenance, and repairs. Handles basic maintenance issues related to plumbing, electric, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks to ensure safe, functional work environment. Responds to maintenance requests, performs preventative upkeep, and assists with facility cleaning and or improvements. Must be versatile, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience with various tools required.

Essential Functions: 

· Perform various maintenance and repair tasks including basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and / or painting

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies

· Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

· Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address maintenance issues

· Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of completed tasks

· Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors on an ongoing basis 

· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: 

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous experience as a handyperson or in general maintenance

· Working knowledge of various maintenance activities including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting

· Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively

Language Skills:

· Fluent in English (Good Communication Skills)

· Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions

Mathematical Skills:

· Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for measuring materials and calculating costs

· Fractions and decimals for precise measurements and conversions

· Percentages for calculating material waste, discounts on supplies, and markup on services

· Understanding and interpreting measurement tools

· Converting between different units of measurement

Reasoning Ability: 

· Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

· Calculating material quantities needed for projects

· Estimating time required to complete tasks
