Position Overview

Our farm is looking for motivated and out-going individuals with a passion for agriculture and food to represent Pat’s Pastured at various Rhode Island farmers’ markets.

Beyond helping to share with the community our farm's pride and passion in what we grow, the work involves a unique combination of product handling and sales, savvy farm marketing, and good ol' fashioned face-to-face customer service.

We have an immediate need for market staff to work our Wednesday market in Newport. The market hours are 2:00pm - 6:00pm

(hours worked approx. 12:00pm - 7:30pm).

We also have an opening at the farmers' market at Hope Street on Saturdays. The market hours are 9:00am - 1:00pm (hours worked approx. 7:30am - 1:30pm)

Requirements:  Schedule and availability are critical. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have a good personality for sales.

All applicants must also:

• Be well organized, efficient, and able to work independently


• Possess a positive, diligent work ethic


• Actively take initiative


• Love working outdoors in all weather


• Be friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable


• Present a professional, clean, warm and approachable appearance


• Have excellent communication skills


• Have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record. MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) required for hire
  
  

Compensation:

• $17.50 - $19.00 per hour DOE


• Health insurance is not provided
