Farmhouse Kitchen Team Member | Part-Time

Stoltzfus Meats is looking for a dependable and hardworking Farmhouse Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, package, and support the production of our fresh prepared foods.

This is a hands-on position that includes a mix of basic cooking, food preparation, packaging, labeling, and general kitchen support. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with food, and being part of a team.

Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but we are happy to train someone who has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic cooking and food preparation tasks according to recipes and instructions


• Prepare ingredients and products for daily production


• Portion, assemble, and package prepared food items


• Label, date, and organize finished products for storage or distribution


• Assist with weighing and measuring ingredients as needed


• Help prepare orders for retail, wholesale, and distribution needs


• Monitor products for quality, freshness, and appearance


• Follow proper product rotation and FIFO practices


• Keep work areas, utensils, equipment, and surfaces clean and organized


• Follow all food safety, sanitation, GMP, and workplace safety procedures


• Assist with stocking ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies


• Support cooks, production employees, and kitchen leadership with daily production needs


• Help with cleaning and end-of-shift responsibilities


• Work collaboratively with other team members to keep production running smoothly

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, food preparation, production, or packaging experience is helpful but not required


• Willingness to learn basic cooking and food production procedures


• Dependable and able to follow instructions


• Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and food safety


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


• Positive, team-oriented attitude


• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time


• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds


• Ability to perform repetitive food preparation, packaging, and production tasks


• Ability to work in kitchen and food production environments with varying temperatures


• Ability to safely work around kitchen and food production equipment
