Job Description - Finance Administrator

Description

Summary of Position

The Finance Administrator will calculate business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data with accuracy, maintain vendor records, process payments, and nurture vendor relationships. The Finance Administrator will also be responsible for accounts payable and giver engagement. This position is part time and required to work 18-22 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities 

1.  Job Duty (40%)

     a.  Maintain master vendor file

     b.  Verifying and matching invoices, routing for approval, processing payments according to MHC processes

     c.  Respond to vendor inquires

2.  Job Duty (40%)

     a.  Giver engagement data gathering

     b.  Process according to current system, includes telephone, email and written. 

     c.  Report and maintain data

3.  Job Duty (15%)

     a.  Administrative support to Finance ministry, including offering verification, assisting statement processing and mailings

4.  Job Duty (5%)

     a.  Support MHC Disciple Lane staff as a team member

Requirements

Physical Requirements 

1.  Ability to continuously stand, sit, and/or walk.

2.  Ability to bend, climb stairs, and/or lift occasionally.

3.  Ability to lift 5 to 30 pounds occasionally. 

4.  Ability to squat occasionally.

5.  Ability to communicate continuously with other people.

6.  Ability to operate computers continuously to complete necessary office work.  

7.  Ability to frequently comprehend physical and/or digital documents and frequently prepare physical and/or digital documents. 

Work Environment

1.  May occasionally work in temperatures above 95 degrees and below 32 degrees.

2.  May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.

3.  The noise level in the environment is frequently loud.

4.  May occasionally work outdoors.

5.  May continuously work indoors within closed office spaces.
