JOB SUMMARY: The Finance Coordinator assists with managing the financial operations and reporting for our organization. This includes producing financial reports, maintaining records, and ensuring that financial processes and procedures are properly adhered to. This position works closely with the Senior Finance Administrator to help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organization's financial systems. 

This is a part time position, approximately 20 hours a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES: 

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure accurate completion of daily, weekly, monthly specified tasks  
  • Reconcile several high-volume bank accounts weekly and monthly. Monitor the third-party payment application, maintain fraud control reviews with banking partners  
  • Prepare financial statements and reports. Deliverables include several department specific reports as well as consolidated companywide financial requirements 
  • Adhere to firm weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting deadlines 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws and regulations. Work closely with the Senior Finance Administrator to make sure new requirements are implemented timely  
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Experience working with an Automated Accounting Software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite or similar)  
  • Proven ability to execute general accounting functions effectively and efficiently 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Prioritization and time management skills  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Specifically high level of comfortability with Excel  
  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Able to make sound decisions based on established policy and procedures with minimal additional guidance  

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum two years of experience in a finance or accounting role 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field highly preferred
