Job Description - Finance Lead (m/f/n)

As the Finance Lead for Next Level Coffee, you will play a pivotal role in driving our financial strategy, financial growth and operations. You will oversee all finance and accounting activities, including business case leadership, scenario analysis, cash flow management, KPI development and investor relations. This role requires a hands-on approach re-defining and managing finance processes, as well as the ability to vision the strategic aspects of a young company to ensure the financial health and growth of our company.

Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
Own our business case and conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Support and management of preliminary accounting internally, as well as coordination of data flows to the tax office.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare financial statements, investor reports, and other documentation required for fundraising and investor relations
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards together with our tax advisors.

Establish and document comprehensive financial reporting processes and controls.
Develop and implement a cash flow management strategy to ensure liquidity and financial stability
Develop and implement a standardized budgeting and forecasting framework.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of standard controlling tasks, cash flow management, KPI development, and accounting principles.
Experience with financial planning, analysis, and strategy.
You have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with startup financing and investor documentation is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German.
