Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors Finance Committee and Board Treasurer, granting agencies and auditors, providing accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities:
Serve as staff support to Board of Directors Finance Committee, providing accurate and timely financial statements, reports and other information or requested.
Respond to other requests and needs for information, including statistical analysis
Oversee Payroll, A/P, A/R, general ledger, cash receipts, petty cash, year-end compliance reports such as 1099s and W-2s, and related processes.
Make monthly journal entries, issue monthly contract billings, and reconcile bank and investment accounts.
Help create and maintain Annual Budget, as well as strategic and tactical plans.
Organize and support annual audit and Form 990 preparation, ensuring that timely and accurate information is provided. Provide and present final audit report to Board Finance Committee, Board, and grantors and banks as .
Ensure that payroll and other taxes and reserves are set aside and/or paid.
Monitor cash flow to assure timely payments of employee, vendor, and other obligations.
Perform other projects and responsibilities as directed or .
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle competing priorities in a complex environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, QuickBooks and other software programs and applications.
Excellent analytical, collaboration and oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Successfully complete a state background check
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with BambooHR or comparable Payroll Platform
Experience with non-profit organizations
