First Shift Supervisor

Shift Supervisor (1st Shift) – Fremont, OH

For 120 years, The Fremont Company has been a trusted name in food manufacturing, producing sauerkraut and other family favorites enjoyed across the world. We’re looking for a Shift Supervisor to help carry our tradition of quality forward!

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be on the plant floor driving production, supporting your team, and ensuring every shift meets our high standards of efficiency, safety, and product excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily production schedules to maximize efficiency and meet shift goals
• Maintain a strong floor presence during production startup and throughout the shift
• Supervise, coach, and train team members, including making machine adjustments and guiding operators
• Verify correct raw materials and packaging are used, with accurate reporting of shift materials
• Perform light equipment setup, adjustments, and minor repairs to keep production running smoothly
• Partner with the Plant Manager & Production Supervisor on continuous improvement ideas to enhance line performance
• Coordinate staffing needs, including scheduling full-time staff and temporary labor
• Oversee sanitation activities and ensure compliance with GMP and Food Safety standards
• Support a safe, productive environment where quality food products are made every day

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred
• Familiarity with GMPs, Food Safety, and production processes in a plant environment
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment setup, adjustments, and minor repairs
• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and motivating a team
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is helpful, but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
