Fitness Center Staff

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the fitness area and equipment, supervision of fitness center rules and safety enforcement, providing outstanding member service, and occasionally teaching members how to use the fitness center. Periodic assistance with the party room rental process, including set up and clean up of room, will also be required. 

Job Specific Competencies:

· Completes cleaning tasks as assigned for your shift.

· Keeps fitness center organized and clean at all times to ensure safety.

· Keeps equipment repaired and functional, informing supervisor of maintenance needs immediately.

· Greets all members and guests in a professional manner as they enter the fitness center.

· Circulates around the room so members and guests are aware that you are available to assist them.

· Is available to ensure safety in member exercises.

· Promotes all aspects and benefits of the facility in a positive manner and by example.

· Gives tours to all prospective members as they come through the fitness center.

· Monitors supplies and informs supervisor when supplies are needed.

· Reads communication book at the beginning of each shift and responds to each message as applicable.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Shifts Times Include:

Monday - Friday: 4:45 AM - 8 AM

Monday - Thursday: 5 PM -10 PM 

Friday: 4 PM - 10 PM

Saturday: 5:45 AM - 1:30 PM or 1:30 PM - 8 PM

Sunday: 7:45 AM - 1:30 AM or 1:30 PM - 8 PM

Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):

High School Diploma or GED required.

Licensure/Certification Requirement(s):

· First Aid and CPR certification required upon hire or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
