Job Description - Fitness Instructor

Job Summary

We are seeking a Fitness Instructor to join our successful gym. As a Fitness Instructor, you will lead pre-planned fitness classes, prepare group fitness classes ensuring that people of all fitness levels are able to participate. Your goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it! The ideal candidate is a positive, engaging teacher with a passion for fitness.

Responsibilities

Lead a wide variety of classes to fitness studio members and guests

Organize classes that are physically challenging, while keeping members engaged and safe

Encourage members to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions

Promote programs, classes, and membership through social media and networking

Deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with business policies

Available for early morning classes (5am, 6am), midday classes, evening classes (5pm & 6pm) and on weekends

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required

Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification

Complete Group Fitness certification, online and in-person, through Kaia Fitness Corporate account

Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred

First aid and CPR-certified

Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Additional Certifications:

BARRE

Pilates-Matt

Kick-boxing

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
