Senior Helpers of Victoria is looking for a highly reliable, flexible caregiver to join our team in a unique float position—designed for those who want consistent pay, variety in their day, and the opportunity to make a real difference.
This is not your typical caregiving role.
Unlike traditional assignments, our float caregivers are part of a dedicated coverage team whose role is to ensure our clients always receive care—no matter what.
That means:
No worrying about losing hours due to cancellations
A consistent paycheck you can count on
A variety of clients and environments
Being part of a team that truly values reliability
Higher hourly pay than standard caregiver roles to cover shifts
Guaranteed $25 per day (even if not scheduled) in addition to hourly pay to cover shifts
Same-day shift bonuses for short-notice coverage
Monthly reliability bonus opportunities
Travel reimbursement (when applicable)
Supportive 24/7 office team that communicates and responds
Step in to cover scheduled shifts when needed
Provide companionship, personal care, and daily living assistance
Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns
Bring a positive, engaging presence to each client’s home
Is extremely dependable and takes attendance seriously
Is flexible with their schedule and enjoys variety
Is comfortable adapting to different clients and environments
Wants consistent income without relying on one fixed case
Takes pride in being the person others can count on
Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the territory
Strong communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly and confidently
A heart for serving others
