Food & Beverage Attendant (On-Call)

Description

Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, the On-Call Food and Beverage Attendant, will assist with catering and room setup. The Food and Beverage Attendant will assist in providing a consistent and high quality standard of food and beverage set up/service to all clients, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to relating to customer service, cleanliness and personal development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure excellent and professional client service at all times Setup and reset specific activities as directed 
• Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen and other areas of operation 
• Follow hygienic food and beverage handling procedures 
• Develop and maintain high levels of customer service 
• Assist with setup and teardown 
• Assist with room arrangements 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 2+ years of experience as a Food & Beverage Attendant
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation and existing health and safety standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and smell continually. 
• Ability to stand, walk and reach frequently
• Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally
• Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 
• Close vision required to see computer monitor, read documents, and operate copy and fax machine
• Work environment is indoors and climate controlled. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions
• During the annual conference the level of activity increases, and the amount of time spent standing and walking will be heavy
