Food & Beverage Support

We are looking for passionate and energetic baristas with a heart to serve to join our team. This candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and enjoy working with people. The Café Barista is responsible for assisting in all Gateway Café & Food Services operations, including front and back of house operations, café sales, restocking, cleaning, mentoring volunteers, exceptional listening & verbal skills and providing top notch guest service, as well as producing quality espresso drinks.

All Baristas must secure a Food Handler's Certificate, which will be supplied by the Café & Food Services team

• Proficiency in all areas of the café is required, including efficiency of producing quality espresso drinks & maintenance of equipment

• Work with a sense of urgency and are highly motivated

• Must possess strong guest service skills and be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings & special events

• Proficiency in food & drink preparation, display, and serving

• Speed & efficiency while maintaining accuracy and quality standards

• Adhering to all health & food safety regulations and quality controls

• Point-of-Sale

• Promoting a clean, professional appearance and able to adhere to dress code guidelines

• Punctuality and reliability

• This is a part-time position of approximately 10-25 hours per week to support Gateway Church needs
