Food Program Administrator

Description

Position Summary:

This part-time position will assist the Food Program Administrator with various administrative and operational tasks to ensure the smooth execution and compliance of the YMCA’s food and nutrition programs. This role ensures that families and individuals in need are served with dignity, respect, and efficiency, in alignment with the YMCA’s mission of strengthening community through healthy living and social responsibility.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the collection and tracking of daily meal counts from program sites.

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of accurate food program records.

• File and organize required documentation for compliance with USDA, CACFP, and other regulatory requirements.

• Conduct routine site visits to food program locations to ensure proper procedures and standards are followed.

• Assist with inventory tracking of food, supplies, and equipment at program sites.

• Coordinate with site staff for documentation collection, form submission, and reporting needs.

• Help prepare materials for audits and monthly reporting.

• Support communication between the Food Program Administrator and site staff.

• Perform other administrative duties as assigned related to the food program’s efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

• Experience in food service, nonprofit work, or community outreach is a plus

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a diverse and fast-paced environment
