Food Server -Star Club (Part Time)

A Star Club Server takes care of Boyd Gaming's best guests. As a server in the Star Club it is very important to follow all aspects of our Sequence of Service, i.e greet guests within 1 minute of arriving, drinks on table within 2 minutes of order. It is also crucial that we maintain a polite and pleasant demeanor at all times while servicing our guests. As a server in the Star Club your primary function is to greet the guests, obtain their drink order, table maintenance thru out their meal, and clear table for new guests at end of meal.

• A Star Club Server will greet guests and introduce self with a smile and a pleasant disposition.
• Provide upscale, personal VIP service to Star Club guests.
• A Star Club Server will be familiar with menu, food preparation.
• Observe and anticipate guest’s needs. Keep tables cleared between courses. Refill beverages throughout the meal.
• A Star Club Server will ensure our guest feel appreciated
• Maintain uniform and appearance standards.
• A Star Club Server will bus tables after guest leave; wipe off entire table, chairs and seats; reset tables in proper manner, check floor area of assigned station keeping it free of debris.
• Monitor guest’s alcohol consumption.
• A Star Club Server will maintain cleanliness of side stations
• Complete side work and any additional tasks assigned.
• A Star Club Server will inform immediate supervisor of situations with guests or fellow workers that cannot be handled directly.
• Interact in a professional manner with both internal and external guests.
• A Star Club Server will be able to lift and carry trays weighing 15 pounds or more.
• Must be well groomed according to Boyd Gaming's winning impressions standards.
• A Star Club Server will be able to read and write English sufficiently to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Able to successfully complete a TIPS training class. (Acceptable Alcohol serving practices.)
• A Star Club Server must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) 

• Previous food service. One (1) or two (2) years prior serving experience preferred.
• Able to lift and carry trays weighing 15 pounds or more.
• Must be well groomed.
• Able to read and write English sufficiently to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
• Must successfully pass background check
• Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
• Must be 21 years of age
