Food Server - Wing Lei - Fine Dining

The first Chinese restaurant in North America to earn a Michelin star, this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star winner serves Cantonese, Shanghai and Szechuan flavors, featuring delicacies like tableside-carved Imperial Peking duck and wok-fried Maine lobster. Chef Ming Yu’s dishes are served in a lavish gold dining room inspired by classical Chinese jewel boxes, with a view of century-old pomegranate trees.

Job Responsibilities:

The Wing Lei Food Server is responsible for creating the overall guest experience, taking food/beverage orders, carrying out wine/beverage service, performing table maintenance, completing side work, maintaining health code standards, and providing excellent customer service for our guests as defined by outlet standards. The Wing Lei Food Server handles guest checks and related financial transactions. 

• Candidates must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner. The ability to speak a second language (Mandarin or Cantonese) is highly preferred.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years of previous work experience as food server and experience in a similar venue (high-volume fine dining with an emphasis on Chinese cuisine) is highly preferred.
• Candidates must be able to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must exhibit wine, beverage, basic food and advanced service knowledge including wine service and up-selling.
• Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
• Must be proficient in POS software
• Possession of/or ability to possess a valid Alcohol Awareness card.
• Possession of/or ability to possess a Food Handler Safety Training card.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or above.
