Food Services Coordinator (PT)

Hanover Township is hiring a Food Services Coordinator (PT)!

Under the direction of the Nutrition Manager, this position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Stars-N-Stripes Café. The Food Services Coordinator directs operations of the division providing quality food service to older adult residents of Hanover Township. This position oversees Nutrition Division procedures, food preparation and service, home delivered meals distribution, sanitation standards, safety practices, and staff utilization. Ensures required nutritional guidelines are met and maintains inventory of all division-related supplies. Provides daily oversight to the Nutrition Services staff and volunteers including the Line Cook and Food Services Assistants. Performs all other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the division.

The part-time, non-exempt position pays $23.00 per hour, 27.5 hours per week.  The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education development (GED) equivalent.


• Associate’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.


• Three years of experience in food services with a focus on menu planning/production, nutrition/wellness, and safety and sanitation preferred.


• Two years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.


• Must have Illinois Food Manager Certification or obtain within thirty days of hire.


• Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.


• Willingness to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed.


• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license needed.
