Vivrelle is seeking a talented Freelance Product Photographer to support our growing digital Product team. Working closely with our Photography Studio Manager and in-house photography team, you will focus on shooting, styling, and managing digital assets on an as-needed basis for our luxury product photography needs.
As our Freelance Product Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing and delivering visually appealing e-commerce product images that showcase our collection of designer handbags, jewelry, and luxury accessories. Your role will involve hands-on photography, creative styling, and efficient file management to ensure the product photography on our website and iOS app maintain the highest visual standards.
Note: This is a freelance position with flexible scheduling based on project needs. Work will be conducted on-site at our Midtown offices in New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Perform digital capture tasks, which encompass file naming, corrections, uploading, logging, and archiving
- Maintain a high level of productivity in capturing and processing images, ensuring timely delivery of final photos within designated deadlines
- Utilize programs such as Lightroom and Photoshop to lightly retouch images before sending to our editing teams
- Adhere to style guides specific to each product category, ensuring uniformity in image composition, surfaces, backgrounds, and lighting
- Showcase proactive problem-solving abilities by spotting potential challenges in workflow or processes and using critical thinking to suggest practical solutions
- Manage an extensive photo library with a cloud workflow
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in photography, encompassing expertise in lighting, composition, and technical production principles
- Proficient in Adobe Bridge, Lightroom, and Photoshop
- Demonstrated proficiency in executing product photography within a studio environment
- Exhibit a keen creative eye, adept at capturing aesthetically composed shots and making styling choices that align with brand identity and strategy
- Expertise in photo editing and retouching, ensuring high-quality results
- Maintain a well-organized and tidy studio environment
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of lighting techniques to achieve superior photo outcomes
- Experience photographing accessories such as handbags and jewelry is a plus
$40 - $50 an hour
