Lightly AG is an ETH and HSG spin-off pioneering in machine learning and computer vision. Backed by Y Combinator and top-tier investors, our technology is used by global leaders in autonomous driving, medical imaging, and visual inspection.

With a small but sharp team in Zurich, we're looking for experienced Weather & Meteorology Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help us evaluate AI-generated weather forecasting and event analysis.

Expected project scope of approximately 15 hours/week.

Tasks

We are launching a project focused on evaluating AI-generated weather and climate analysis, and we are looking for experienced Weather & Meteorology Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to participate.

Project expected to begin early July.

Requirements

• Background in meteorology, atmospheric science, climate science, or environmental science
• Ability to verify weather events (storms, heatwaves, cold snaps, precipitation patterns) against historical records
• Familiarity with US city-level weather data — temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, pressure, cloud cover
• Understanding of how weather events impact downstream systems (energy demand, agriculture, transportation)
• Strong analytical and written communication skills in English
