Freeport, Texas - Coating (Helper/Apprentice)

Summary / Objective

The responsibilities of the Coating Helper are to assist coating specialist in the blasting and coating duties per job scope. No previous experience is required; however, considerable strength and endurance is required to safely and successfully perform this job.

Essential Functions

• 
  Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Marquis Construction Services safety requirements for painting


• 
  Participate in safety pre-job audits (JSA’s) with the painting crew to ensure all safety hazards have been identified


• 
  Willingness to work with other crew members to accomplish task.


• 
  Effectively communicating with Supervisors, Peers and Subordinates


• 
  Responsible for cleaning work area – removing debris and materials.


• 
  Any other duties as assigned by supervision

  Working around moving mechanical parts


• 
  Working in high precarious places


• 
  Exposed to all types of weather conditions – hot /humid/cold/wet


• 
  Working around different types of chemicals

Qualifications

• 
  High School Degree or equivalent


• 
  Ability to pass Hair Follicle Testing


• 
  Acceptable Background


• 
  TWIC Card


• 
  Successfully complete Formosa Safety Training


• 
  Must be willing to work overtime


• 
  Required to wear PPE on job site at all times.
