Front Desk Assistant (Part-Time)

Brookwood Endodontics in Birmingham is seeking a skilled, part-time Front Desk Assistant to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our core belief is putting the patient’s needs first, and it underlies every aspect of our practice. 

This position will be scheduled to work 23 hours a week. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. 
• Answer patient and referral phone calls promptly.
• Schedule procedures for clinical visits.
• Assist with patient paperwork and medical history.
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
• Collect and process payments.
• Perform office administrative tasks that require the use of a computer and a dental software system. 
• Enjoy interacting with patients and working in a team environment.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Dental experience preferred, but not required.
• 1+ years of medical billing and insurance experience preferred, but not required. 
• 1+ years of customer focused experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in dental software or other electronic medical record systems.
• The ability to stay organized and detail oriented while working in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
