Front-of-House Support (Hosts & Bussers)

JOB SUMMARY

We are hiring for Front-of-House support positions at the Eye Tooth. We are looking for hosts and bussers who are committed to providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and responsible for greeting them upon arrival, managing the waitlist, and ensuring the flow of the restaurant. You will also need to guide guests throughout the restaurant, answer questions, and help other staff members as needed.

As a busser, your primary responsibility will be to clean and set up tables for our guests in a professional and efficient manner. You will also be assisting servers, support staff, and customers with extra tasks while ensuring that the facilities are clean and presentable for the guests.

The ideal candidates will have:

• Excellent communication skills, positive attitudes, and be team players.
• Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Long-term employment preferred.
• Evening and weekend availability a must.

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required. On-the-job tools and training provided.

1. Stand and walk for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
2. Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
3. Lift and carry 30+ lbs
4. Communicate professionally and effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments
5. Organization and prioritization skills
6. Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
7. Bend, move quickly around the restaurant, and stop and wipe frequently
8. Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
