Join us as a Dishwasher!

Weavers Way Co-Op is looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Dishwasher in our Ambler location. This is a full-time position, with open availability (30-34 hours per week).  If you have experience working in a team setting, have a high standard of cleanliness and want to get involved with your community, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities include

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
• Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
• Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
• Wash large pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Set up or break down dish washing area.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors.
• Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
• Sweep up trash around dish area.
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
• Other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Able to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• The ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs
• The ability to be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op
