Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services has openings in our Driver Department. This position has flexible hours, as an "on-call" position. Employees are contacted and offered available shifts for funeral services with a minimum of 24 hours' notice. This position is perfect for retirees or those looking for flexibility. Hours can be as little as one shift per week or up to part-time to full-time hours.
Applicants must be able to perform the following responsibilities:
Assists with moving deceased to place of funeral service or interment.
Inspect stock and vehicles before departing from garages to point of destination.
Arrive at the appointed destination on or before the agreed-upon time.
Respect families by maintaining a code of confidence and limiting interaction to professional conversation.
Assists passengers in and out of vehicles.
Assists with the movement of the casketed deceased and related items into and out of the visitation area, funeral home chapel, church, or other places of service.
Assists in forming the funeral procession in its proper order while attending and directing traffic on the funeral home and/or church parking lots.
Drives the hearse, family limousine or other vehicles in the funeral procession and/or other funeral related activities.
Assist in loading flowers into flower car and/or hearse.
May assist with arranging floral tributes in the visitation area, funeral home chapel, church or other places of service.
Receives and directs callers and visitors to the funeral home.
Professional dress attire is required; black suit.

Our History
Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services was founded by Miles B. and Mildred C. Martin in 1929 in Mt. Morris. Over the past 80 years, the Martin Family has had a strong commitment to funeral service owning and operating funeral homes in Clio, Flint, Burton, North Branch, Fairgrove and Vassar, Michigan. During that time, Miles and Mildred's children and grandchildren have continued the traditions of dedication to the communities we serve and diligence to continuing education and improvement. Since our first location was established in 1929, the Martin Family has amassed over 380 years of experience in funeral service.
