Gardner (Year Round, Part Time)

Description

Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for camp facilities; ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to,  creating and maintaining beauty and color with living flowers, plants, and shrubs at locations around Timber-lee. 

• Planting and caring for flower beds and shrubs.
• Maintain health and appearance of gardens which includes pruning, trimming, weeding, watering, and other needs.
• Assist with the purchasing of annuals and perennials
• Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly work area.

Spiritual

• Is a professing Christian and is supportive of Timber-lee’s mission and core values as well as committed to the truths found in our Statement of Faith.
• Commitment to a Christian lifestyle and demonstration of character in keeping  with the biblical model.
• Strives to demonstrate the Christian Lifestyle through thought, attitude, actions and behaviors that reflect a personal faith in Jesus Christ by exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit. 
• Exhibits a sincere love for the Lord and desires to see people come to know Him personally and grow in their faith.

• Demonstrates excellent work ethic and excels at providing quality guest experiences.
• Understand and exhibit behaviors and skills needed to function and be accountable in a team environment.

Positional 

• Able to lift 50 pounds and carry it up to 30 feet.
• Able to traverse multi-terrain campgrounds in all seasons.
• Licensed driver able to drive trucks and mowers.
• Able to climb ladders and work with electric prunners.
