Gift Shop Retail Associate - Part Time

Thornton Winery is looking for a positive, enthusiastic sales associate to join our gift shop. In this position you will welcome customers and assist in their buying experience by providing excellent customer service. 

Our Associate Will:

• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and concert evenings.


• Greet customers in a friendly manner and provide excellent customer service.


• 
  Answer questions regarding merchandise and wine club memberships.


• 
  Inform of special promotions and promote advantages of wine club membership.


• 
  Process sales as quickly and efficiently as possible.


• Keep shelves organized and stocked and maintain displays.


• 
  Utilize add on selling, cross selling to maximize sales.


• 
  Answer phones as necessary  

Required Skills & Abilities:

•  Communicate clearly and effectively with customers.


• 
  Ability to work under pressure and receive guidance and direction as needed.


• 
  Power to lift up to 55 lbs. to maintain appropriate inventory levels.


• 
  Capable to stand, walk, communicate for long periods of time.


• 
  Retail or customer experience preferred.


• 
  Cash handling principles and experience.


• 
  Capable of using computer equipment and systems used for retail operations.
