Job Summary:

Waynesville Inn and Golf Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our golf operations team. This role is essential in providing a top-tier experience for our members and guests by ensuring the smooth operation of the golf shop and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  Greet and assist all members and guests in a courteous and professional manner

  
  


• 
  

  Handle tee time reservations, check-ins, and coordinate with outside services staff

  
  


• 
  

  Operate point-of-sale system for retail sales, green fees, and merchandise

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop, merchandise displays, and storage areas

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor inventory levels, assist with restocking and merchandising displays

  
  


• 
  

  Provide knowledgeable assistance with golf equipment, apparel, and club merchandise

  
  


• 
  

  Promote and register players for club events, tournaments, and clinics

  
  


• 
  

  Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to tee times, merchandise, and general club information

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in opening and closing procedures, including daily reporting and balancing registers

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with golf professionals, outside services, and grounds staff to ensure a seamless golf experience

  
  


• 
  

  Uphold the club’s standards of service, appearance, and professionalism at all times

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Prior experience in retail, customer service, or golf operations preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of golf terminology, rules, and etiquette is a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer applications

  
  


• 
  

  Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment

  
  


• 
  

  Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
