Job Description - Graduate Assistant - Sports Information AY 25-26

Franklin Pierce University is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant (GA) position in Sports Information. This two-year position offers valuable experience, including tuition remission and an annual stipend of $8,000. Please note that housing is not included, and acceptance is contingent upon successful admission to the University’s Graduate School.

Major Responsibilities:

Serve as media contact for specific assigned sports.
Generate press releases, event recaps, feature stories, and related content.
Develop, monitor and maintain a consistent social media presence.
Maintain team information and content on websites and physical archives.
Produce publications, including record books, game programs, etc.
Arrange and/or perform game day responsibilities such as public address, clock management, scoreboard operations, music, etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Experience with website content management systems (SIDEARM, PrestoSports)
General knowledge of statistical software (PrestoSports, StatCrew, NCAA Live Stats)
Experience in sports photography, videography and editing
