Graduate Plan-of-Study Advisor


 

The Graduate Plan-of-Study Advisor assists graduate and seminary students with degree completion, maintains graduate and seminary plans of study/check sheets, assists graduate and seminary students with registration, and assists the department with other projects as needed.


 

Advise Seminary/Graduate Students
Work closely with students to create individual plans of study that ensure timely degree completion. Advise students regarding course sequence decisions as needed. Be available to answer questions and concerns as needed.

Maintain Seminary/Graduate Plans of Study and Checksheets
Compile and update all plans of study and checksheets for graduate and seminary students. As degree requirements change, update master checksheets. Process major change requests and update student checksheets appropriately.

Assist with Seminary/Graduate Registration
Be available answer questions and assist with graduate academic registration. During drop/add, verify that each student has followed the appropriate plan of study or that changes do not delay degree completion.

Perform General Responsibilities
Assist the Seminary-Gradate Studies Office with other projects as needed. Answer phone calls, emails, and guests with questions regarding graduate studies.

Education

Required Education:

HS Preferred Education: College Degree - Office Administration


 

Work Experience

Required Experience:

Preferred Experience: 1+ years in an academic office


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

Capable of Using Department-specific Software Applications, Communication, Customer Service, Microsoft Office, Operating Office Equipment, Sitting for long periods of time
